Our Nature Reserve/Conservancy of over 930 hectares hosts a diversity of fauna and flora with breathtaking rock formations where more than 25 species of wild
animals and 200+ bird species can be spotted. The unpolluted Boekenhout River runs through the property and has a variety of fish, including black bass.
This Conservancy forms part of the Provincial Governments planned Dinokeng Big 5-development area that will in time see our Conservancy being part of this large
game reserve in Northern Gauteng. In the interest of conserving our planet and a more green approach to construction, Woodlands Game Lodge & Conference Centre
was constructed from stones picked up from the property (not mined) and locally sourced thatch, creating a warm yet luxurious look and atmosphere. All rooms and
facilities received a Four Star grading from the Grading Council of South Africa.
The owners, Felix and Rita van Molendorff built and established Woodlands Game Lodge in the Bobbejaansberg Game Sanctuary in 2003. Since the doors opened in June
2005 we have gained a reputation for excellent service, good food, and attention to detail.
